Russians lowest grade nuke with multiple (targeted) independent reentry vehicles would likely turn Manhattan-Queens-Brooklyn-Long Island-New Jersey-Westchester County among other locations into something none of us would ever want to imagine in our wildest nightmares. 

The fact that the primary advice is to wash yourself and bag your contaminated clothing is utterly mind blowing considering that finding running water may be very difficult without power... Not even mentioning that if you somehow managed to survive said "first strike" washing your clothing will the least of your worries.
